I am currently a senior in high school who loves to photograph the world around me and play with metal. I live in Southern California where I attend a boarding school. My goal is to share with others the excitement and joy I get from nature and creation.
I have been photographing since I was old enough to hold a camera. I started by photographing insects in my back yard, I wasn't very good. However, I loved it. In the fourth grade I discovered oil painting and drawing. This helped me learn to "see". At the end of 2010 I received my first DSLR, and continued on with photography. I spent time learning my camera, exploring composition techniques, and photographing. Then in the eighth grade I had to complete a year long independent study research project. Of course, I chose photography. For my project, and afterward, I mentored with Eric Nivelle (1940-2014), a photographer in my area. He helped me with my composition eye. That project took my photography to a whole new level, allowing me to be the artist I am today. Now I work to show the world's beauty around me, using my photography as a channel. Plus I share a newsletter discussing photos about 2-4 times a year and write a blog where I share photography and post production tips as well as other things that interest me.
